Although I particularly enjoy writing about women and compelling issues in Israeli society, I am open to anything!
  Tablet, Bnai Brith Magazine
American-born and bred, I moved to Jerusalem ten days after I graduated from Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism - and have lived in Israel ever since. After stints as a general assignment reporter for The Jerusalem Post, The Jerusalem Report, and The Associated Press, I wrote articles on science and technology. For more than twenty years, I have also freelanced, drawing on my bilingual and bicultural skills to translate stories in Israel into comprehensible and engaging pieces for American readers. In 1995, I wrote a children's book entitled "All of this Country is called Jerusalem": A Curricular Guide about the Contemporary Rescue Operations of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. I am currently working on a memoir, How to Laugh (and Cry) Through Breast Cancer. In 2004 I won the AJPA's First Prize for Excellence in personality profiles for a cover story I wrote for Bnai Brith Magazine on President of the Israeli Supreme Court Justice Aharon Barak. This year, I won an AJPA award for a piece I wrote for Tablet on my Israeli-Palestinian breast cancer support group.
