Brief Bio or Introduction
Susan J. Gordon is the author of hundreds of stories, essays, and articles for nationally known magazines and newspapers. Her short story, "Ellis Island Hanukkah," was one of five selected in 2018 for "Hanukkah Lights," a series of stories read by professional actors on many National Public Radio stations throughout the United States. Listeners can continue to hear and enjoy it every year at Hanukkah time.

My memoir, BECAUSE OF EVA: A Jewish Genealogical Journey, won the Best Book Award 2017 for Memoir from the American Society of Journalists & Authors. Published by Syracuse U Press in 2016, BECAUSE OF EVA tells how mysteries in my family's past spurred me to delve into World War II and Holocaust history. Using new genealogical skills, my search to find family and make peace was prodded by the breakdown of family ties due to two generations of divorce in my family.

My non-fiction book, WEDDING DAYS: When and How Great Marriages Began, contains hundreds of stories about extraordinary couples. A new edition has been revised and updated, and is available online.
