Ahdeya Ahmed Al-Sayed, First Female President of the Bahrain Journalists Association

Three months after Bahrain signed onto the Abraham Accords and began normalizing relations with Israel, a top Bahraini journalist will give AJPA members her analysis of how peace with Israel is playing out in her nation. Ahdeya Ahmed Al-Sayed, president of the Bahrain Journalists Association, will discuss how the Bahraini public is reacting to the peace agreement, and how Israel's widening circle of partners in the Arab world is redefining the Middle East. She will talk about being a journalist, and a woman, in Bahrain today, and how crucial she feels it is to, as she puts it, "take risks for peace." In conversation with Sue Fishkoff, editor of J. The Jewish News of Northern California, Al-Sayed will take questions from the audience in this up-close and personal look at life in Bahrain today.
